Our service starts at 10:30am, we start with praise and worship before the sermon begins with Pastor Anthony Johnson. Every 1st Sunday of the month we serve communion.
Our praise and worship team currently is a group of women striving to worship God through song before our Pastor brings the word so that we are able to prepare our hearts and minds for what God has for us. They meet before the service to practice and have prayer so that every sound made is one glorifying to the Lord.
Our Wednesday Night Services start at 6:45 pm and are led by Pastor Anthony Johnson. We offer childcare that is covered by rotating members on Wednesday nights. The last Wednesday of every month is our TEEN TALK night for ages 11 and up, bring your teens to be a part of our growing ministry!
Serving Ages 2 to 7 years of age, taught by Deaconess Star
Serving Ages 8 to 12.
Men's Fellowship - Led by rotating members of The Promise when not led by Pastor Anthony Johnson. Our Men's Fellowship is a way to continue learning to lead as the head of the household as it is written in the Word of God, taking time to fellowship with other men, pray, and encourage one another. Just like our Women's ministry, what happens at men's fellowship stays at men's fellowship. We want our men to have a safe and comfortable atmosphere to learn about Christ, grow and encourage one another.
Women's Fellowship - Our women's fellowship is led by Jamie Diaz, and hosted at alternating members homes. If you are looking for women that love the Lord, a place to cultivate friendships, a way to just be yourself, ask us about our Women's Ministry. You won't be disappointed. We only have one rule, what happens at ladies meetings stays at ladies meetings. We want you to feel comfortable in a private setting, encouraging and lifting up one another all while learning to be strong women of Christ! Our core verse for this is Titus 2:3-5, as our main goals are to glorify God, edify the body, encourage one another, and as this passage implies, setting an example to those of all ages by being Christlike.
Senior Pastor
Pastor Johnson who has been in ministry for over 10 years, will tell you that there could have been no man that could have built a church during the year of a pandemic that hit our nation, and around the world. His journey began long before that, but this is where it was all leading to. This journey began on Facebook Live preaching out of his basement, and slowly God brought the flock one by one to the fold in his basement. A year later God grew the ministry faster than he could keep up, which brought him to a building in Madison Heights, Virginia. The mission of this ministry is reaching every lost soul he can, and tell them of the love of Jesus Christ. Pastor Anthony believes in the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior. This is the good news! Life Verse: 1 Peter 5:10
Leader of the children's and women's ministry at The Promise.
India Johnson is the wife of Pastor Anthony Johnson and mother to their two beautiful children AJ and Paisley. India always said growing up in ministry she would never be married to a pastor, but we serve a God with a sense of humor. India leads both our Women's Ministry, as well as our Children's Ministry. India has a huge heart, and her mission is to mold the young minds that are the foundation of the church, and helping women live a life glorying to God. Life Verse: Psalm 34:4
